Joel Schaubel
Treasurer for Board of Directors
Joel Schaubel is the founder and president of Mechnician, a growing company that supports Mechanics and equipment professionals across North America. With over 30 years of business and leadership experience, he brings a background in entrepreneurship, sales, and operational growth. Joel holds an Executive MBA and is a graduate of the Royal Military College.
Joel’s connection to the game is deeply personal. As the father of an elite-level goaltender, and through years of involvement as a hockey coach and team manager, he has experienced firsthand the commitment, pressure, and significant financial demands required to develop goalies at a high level.
He is passionate about helping reduce barriers to participation and expanding access to elite goalie training, ensuring that opportunity is driven by talent and work ethic—not financial constraints. Joel brings a practical, growth-focused perspective to the board, with an emphasis on fundraising, awareness, and long-term impact.
